Warzone's weapons are, unsurprisingly, the key to victory. Even if you win your fight in the Warzone Gulag right at the end of the match and parachute in, you'll still need to gather some weapons to have a chance of winning the match. Warzone weapons behave very differently than they do in the main multiplayer modes, so the knowledge base doesn't carry over. Plus, with the biggest map in Call of Duty history, 149 other players to survive, and new mechanics like an armor plate system, your needs are vastly different than in a match in Rust or Crash.
So what are the best Warzone weapons and weapons to pick up and fight, or to base your best Warzone weapon setup on there? We've secured multiple Warzone wins, watched even more streamer wins, and lost a lot of other matches on top of that, so we're confident that we can present you with a list of the best Warzone weapons to use in battle from the second year of Call of Duty experience royale .
Naturally, personal preference plays a big role here, so if you disagree with some of our picks, there's nothing wrong with racking up headshots and team cleanups with a different weapon in Warzone.
The Season 4 Reloaded update for Warzone introduced 35 balance changes to some of the most popular weapons in the game. The developers want to speed up the kill time for all weapons – since the Cold War integration in late 2020, it looks like weapons have gotten stronger over time. If you're not sure why your weapons seem to be doing less damage, it's because of these nerfs.

Warzone's Best Weapons
FARA 83
The balance changes introduced in Warzone Season 4 nerfed Assault Rifles enough to make the Fara 83 one of the best weapons in the game. If you're looking for a weapon with the mobility of an SMG without having to sacrifice the damage dealt by an assault rifle, the Fara 83 is your best bet.
CR-56 AMAX
The CR-56 AMAX finally got a nerf ahead of the Season 3 Reloaded update, but it barely had an overall impact. This weapon doubles as an AK-47 and Scar combo – the CR-56 AMAX can be transformed with the right attachments to create a relatively manageable, strong impact AR.
MILAN 821
Not a single person could have predicted that the Milano 821 would become the SMG of choice for most players. This SMG has been overrated for a long time, but the buffs in Season 4 completely transformed this weapon. The best Milano loadout can be built as a short-range and long-range option, giving players the perfect weapon for their secondary weapon slot.
KAR98K
The Kar98k has been the gold standard for sniper rifles in Warzone as the best long-range option in Warzone. Its impressive damage, range and bullet speed make it as lethal and effective at long range as other snipers, as well as superior handling. The caveat is that you'll need to get headshots as bodyshots are significantly weaker, but that's true for shooting Warzone anyway.
LC10
When it comes to SMGs, you won't find a more accurate and mobile weapon than the LC10. This weapon was largely ignored when it was first released in the Warzone Season 2 Reloaded update, but the buffs it received in Season 3 pushed it to a number of tiers.
All it took was a slight tweak to the LC10's bullet speed to make it one of the most used weapons in Warzone. Check out our best LC10 loadout to add this deadly weapon to your arsenal.
C58
If you're looking for a long-range assault rifle with great overall stats, there's no better weapon to use right now than the C58. The only real downside to the best C58 loadout is recoil, but this can be managed after using the weapon for several rounds. The damage output of this weapon should not be ignored, it really is very strong. When combined with its impressive accuracy, the C58 is a great meta option right now.
GRAU 5.56
This AR wouldn't deserve such a high spot on our list of the best weapons in Warzone if we just went for its DPS stats. However, if your aim isn't perfect, you'll find the Grau 5.56 to be one of the easiest-to-use and most reliable weapons in its class for medium to long-range auto-firing. There is almost no recoil when using this AR, so you can rely on it to separate squads from a distance. A recent nerf means it's no longer the best weapon in its class, but if you're looking for ease of use and a really quick time to kill then you can't go wrong with the Grade.
MP5 the Cold War
There isn't much difference between the Cold War MP5 and the Modern Warfare variant, but if you want any advantage you can get, the Cold War version is for you. Compared to the Modern Warfare MP5, this weapon has a higher TTK, faster ADS and better recoil. Head over to our best WarzoneMP5 setup to see how to get the most out of this deadly SMG.
RAM 7
While the M4A1 dominates in core multiplayer, the RAM-7 is also a top choice in Warzone for a fast-firing, accurate and versatile assault rifle. You can equip it with a 50 round magazine, which is solid, and in mid-range fights it's an absolute laser beam.
HDR
The HDR has faster bullet speed, especially with the right barrel, so you can treat it almost like a hitscan weapon during long-range battles. Long-range battles are generally not worth it in Warzone as you don't get a chance to loot your victims and you can lose a lot of armor and bullets in the process, but if that's how you want to play it, you'll find this to be the best weapon for the job. .
SWISS K31
Looking for something other than the Kar98k? The mid-season update dramatically improved the Swiss K31, making it a viable alternative to Warzone's best sniper rifles. The flinch resistance was very low on the Swiss, which made it difficult to deal with from a distance. These changes help bring the Swiss into line with the Kar98k, giving you two excellent slide options.
WAR 6
The Krig 6 has always been a solid choice for gamers ever since it was brought over from Cold War Black Ops, but it became the favorite assault rifle in season 3. When using Warzone Krig 6's best loadout, it's easy to see why this weapon is so popular. He's strong, has minimal recoil, and has huge magazines, which is always important in Warzone.
PPSH-41
The PPSh-41 is an instant classic for anyone who grew up playing the Black Ops series. The best PPSh loadout focused on the weapon's high mobility as well as its surprisingly fast TTK. While PPSh is widely used as a secondary weapon, you can run it as a primary weapon when playing on Rebirth Island.
All Warzone weapons
Cold War AUG
The Cold War AUG is arguably the best ranged weapon in the game, even after the Season 2 Reloaded nerf. There is no other weapon in Warzone that offers this level of power in just a few bursts. The last weapon to feature that much power at all ranges was the DMR 14, and we all know how that story ended. The nerf has made the weapon less accurate at range, but the damage output is still high enough that you can take down an enemy in two shots.
Grenade Launcher MGL-32
There's a reason this launcher only has a minuscule drop rate and can only be found in chests - it's legitimately OP. The MGL-3 Grenade Launcher uses the same ammunition as the rocket launchers – it carries six in the barrel and six spares – so you'll want your team to give you any and all rockets they take. Its range isn't great and you'll need to get used to firing your shots if you want to take down players at medium range, but it's a one-hit kill for fully armored enemies and can be spammy.
The damage potential is unparalleled – if a squad pushes you, you can take them out in seconds. It's also incredibly useful for taking down cars and trucks, as it only takes two shots to completely blow up even a truck.
MAC-10
If you're looking for a weapon with high mobility combined with a quick time to kill, there aren't many SMGs better than the Mac-10. This SMG really shines when fighting up close - enemies will fight to win 1v1 encounters against the Mac-10 thanks to its lightning-fast vision speed. When paired with the right accessories, the Mac-10 becomes an instant choice for anyone looking to rack up kill loads. Be sure to check out the best Mac-10 loadout to understand how to get the best out of this weapon.
DMR 14
Despite receiving two nerfs, DMR 14 managed to retain its spot in the Warzone meta. The DMR 14 excels at medium to long range, making it perfect for taking down enemies in Verdansk. What makes the DMR 14 so powerful is its incredible accuracy coupled with a high level of damage – all it takes is a few bullets to bring someone out of their misery. Take a look at the Warzone DMR 14 loadout to understand just how deadly this weapon can be in the right hands.
AX-50
The AX-50 is one of the best Warzone sniper rifles for one important reason: it is capable of taking down enemies with a single headshot. This sniper rifle lets you take ambitious shots, knowing you can land the second shot at least as fast as your opponent. Its aim with aim speed is also amazing with the right attachments, so this is definitely a shooter for more aggressive and active players.
HUGE
As one of the fastest assault rifles in Warzone, the Groza will win most 1v1 clashes with ease. One of Groza's biggest issues is that you need to use specific attachments to fight groups of enemies, but that's not a problem if you have the best Groza loadout. Coupled with ranged weapons like a sniper or tactical rifle, you should be able to handle any encounter regardless of how far away the enemy is.
WAR 6
The Krig 6 is by far the most accurate assault rifle in Warzone, largely due to the incredibly high bullet velocity. There's a trade-off for all that accuracy, however, as the Krig 6's damage output can't compete with some of the other weapons. If you have steady hands, you should be able to land enough headshots to make good use of this assault rifle.
ATTENTION
Although the Akimbo version of Diamatti has been scrapped, the regular version is still as powerful as the day it was released. The Diamatti pistol is arguably the best secondary weapon in the game thanks to its high damage and accuracy stats.
TYPE 63
The Type 63 was overshadowed by the stronger DMR 14, but this tactical rifle shouldn't be ignored thanks to its short-to-medium range dominance. Compared to the DMR 14, the Type 63 features greater accuracy when firing from the hip, as well as more bullets per cartridge and a faster reload time. If you can control the Type 63's recoil, this powerful weapon can be highly effective depending on the distances you want to cover.
FAL
The FAL experienced a major fall from grace. It was once one of the best weapons in Warzone, thanks to a headshot damage multiplier that resulted in the fastest theoretical time to kill in the game. This has since been nerfed so the FAL will perform more similarly to other semi-automatic rifles.
Fennec
The Season 4 SMG is an extremely popular choice in both multiplayer and Warzone, and it's easy to see why: With the fastest rate of fire in the game, this Vector-like weapon can take out an enemy in the blink of an eye. It definitely has its downsides, like horrible bullet speed and small mags, hence why it's not our number one choice. However, if your fight is extremely close, then you really can't defeat Fennec.
A highly mobile 40-round SMG that is ideal for cleaning buildings.
FACT 1
Warzone Season 3 has finally addressed the lethal power of FFAR 1, decreasing its damage output across the board. After going through four rounds of nerfs, this weapon has finally dropped from the top spot, but it's still good enough to use in loadouts. There are three main areas where this weapon really excels: mobility, accuracy and speed of fire. The FFAR dominates in all three categories, and when using Warzone's best FFAR 1 loadout, it behaves similarly to an SMG.
AS VALUES
The Season 6 Assault Rifle landed with a bang, or more than one bank thanks to its built-in suppressor. There are a few different ways to specify your Warzone AS VAL loadout, but if you equip it for mobility and close-range combat, you'll find it offers phenomenal time to kill that scales to mid-range better than most SMGs.
It's hard to recommend in Warzone because of its small magazine capacity and its poor performance at mid and long range - as it will take up an assault rifle ammo type, you'll have to rely on a marksman or sniper rifle for these ranges. .
SP-R 208
The new marksman rifle simply outperforms Kar in pretty much every category, but it's the improved damage range and bullet speed that makes it so effective in Warzone. Use a Warzone SP-R 208 loadout if you want a fast killing rifle for medium and long range, but you can also turn it into a long-range sniper.
M4A1
While the M4A1 has one of the fastest TTK stats for its class in Warzone, it's not our favorite pick for the best assault rifle in Warzone. The reason is that he has a lot of visual noise when he fires, and with some pretty nasty iron sights, locating and tracking targets in a fight is no easy task. Sure, you can use optics, but that means sacrificing some crucial points of aim speed, barrel speed, or damage range, depending on which accessory you replace it with.
PKM
We also really liked the MG34 in Warzone. What makes this weapon so fun to use is its excellent long-range performance.
Set it up with a heavy barrel and some attachments to minimize recoil and you'll find it's capable of destroying enemies crossing open terrain, even if they're in sniper range.
R9-0
The R9-0 with Dragon's Breath rounds is a double shot in close quarters, and thanks to its unique double bomb mechanic, you can fire the first two projectiles almost simultaneously. If you somehow fail to protect the drop with these two shots, the lingering burn effect should finish the job. It can be a very difficult shotgun to use as there is a delay between each two-shot cycle, but once you perfect the art of peeking quickly, you'll find that it's the best shotgun for Warzone.
YAK-12
The newest shotgun in Warzone is in second place thanks to its fully automatic ease of use, decent damage at close range, and the option to strap a 20 or even 32-round magazine to it. Mobile, highly customizable and a monster when it comes to marching through buildings.
WEIGHT 141
Kilo has been forgotten and overshadowed since the game's release, but it's been gaining popularity since Grau was nerfed. The problem with the Kilo 141 is that it remains very mediocre, while several other assault rifles offer better time-to-kill stats, long-range performance, or accuracy. It will definitely kill you, but there are better options.
BRUEN MK9
The Bruen MK9 is handled like an assault rifle, but it has a lot more versatility when it comes to the potential Warzone Bruen MK9 you can create. Its damage profile is also excellent, so if you're looking to extend your AR range, then try this.
Bruen was recently nerfed in Warzone, leaving the meta a bit. However, fast reloads, decent mobility, superior ranged performance, and easy recoil mean it remains one of the best Warzone weapons around.
ORIGIN-12
This shotgun does less damage than the R9-0, but comes with a more forgiving magazine size and better pellet distribution. Either way, in close quarters you should be able to guarantee drop in 2-3 shots on a fully armored enemy.
With a battery charger attached, you can easily take out an entire squad if you're fighting in a large building, especially around stairs. If you know you can land your shots then the R9-0 will definitely take down an opponent a little quicker, but mistakes are easy to make in this fast-paced mode.
M13
M13 Warzone's best build has been increasingly popular as players look for alternatives to the Grade and M4A1 meta, but while it has its strengths, it remains the weakest option for long-range fights. What we will say in favor of the M13 is that its TTK stats, rate of fire and minimal recoil give it the feel of fighting with a laser beam and if you are an aggressive player you will love it.
MP7
SMGs don't see a great deal of use in Warzone, but the MP7 is a standout and essential in the final circle. Its rate of fire and recoil mean you'll have no trouble hitting its potential DPS, plus it can be equipped with a 60-round magazine, allowing you to fight multiple enemies without having to reload multiple times. On top of all that, it's highly mobile, so if you're a big fan of flanking, you should definitely consider equipping it for your next takedown. MP7 is the best SMG for Warzone.
RPG-7
If you don't mind killing the cheap and easy way, then RPG-7 is the way to go - if you're playing trios or squads, you should have at least two players running RPG-7 at any given time. Because? The RPG-7 is strangely accurate over long ranges in Warzone, and getting a shot close to an enemy will knock them out of their armor. A direct hit on a threesome can even result in an instant team elimination.
All you have to do with the RPG-7 is fire it, locate the cracked armor hit marker, and then attack your enemies as they scatter again.
SA87
This LMG is picking up where Bruen left off, delivering really strong damage over long ranges but with the mobility of an assault rifle. He has a tricky recoil, but there is a powerful weapon.
MK2 AIR RIFLE
Most of Warzone's playerbase is sleeping with this sniper rifle, despite it being available as ground loot. This is a great choice if you want to be able to deal with snipers but don't really want to shoot. The mix of accuracy, damage, and range means that you can often get a very damaging snapshot on an enemy marksman that will keep you immobilized.
In mid-range fights, you can take down armor with a single shot, and mobility makes it easier to do this while moving. You'll want a reflex sight, monolithic suppressor, factory FSS 24,0” barrel, and a laser that improves ADS timing to get the most out of it.
THE BEST
If you get along well with the Crossbow and are confident you can land the first shot, then this is easily one of the best Warzone weapons out there. While the HDR and AX-50 have the ability to take down an enemy with a single headshot, the Crossbow can achieve the same result with a bodyshot. Even better, if you're using explosive bolts or thermite, the resulting explosion or fire will usually finish off the player you knocked down.
It's definitely a talent pick, but if you can get the bolt right then this is a relentlessly efficient assassin.
BISON
This SMG is very weak in terms of time-to-kill stats, but a large magazine as standard means you get a free attachment slot to tweak the weapon's weaker stats. However, if you are like us and just want more spins on hand.
UZI
If you follow our Warzone Uzi loadout you'll find that it does impressive damage for its class, but we still find the kick and low fire rate too much to handle and can't recommend it for the average player.
. 357
This entry comes with the caveat that you play the .357 with Akimbo and Snake Shot, which turns this mediocre normal weapon into a close-range destroyer. With the rest of your attachments set to increase your sprint speed to fire, you'll find these pistols are virtually impossible to stop at close range. For more Akimbo pistols in Warzone, we have a rundown of several versions.
Snake Shot turns the .357 into a shotgun, combine that with the Akimbo and you've got a tie in each hand, granting you the fastest time to bodyshot kills of any weapon in the game. If you don't like the damage reduction in this offer, removing Snake Shot still leaves you with some serious stopping power.
