If you can't play Free Fire Battlegrounds (FFB) on your cell phone or if you prefer to play on your computer, we have a very simple solution. Follow our guide and learn how to install and configure Free Fire on PC.
In no time, you'll be crushing players from all over the world in this Battle Royale game for mobile and tablet, very similar to PUBG.
1. Download and install LDPLayer Android Emulator
Mobile games don't run by themselves on a PC. They are made differently as a computer has other requirements and is usually much more powerful than a cell phone. We prefer the LDPlayer Android emulator which runs the game very well. The software will ask for your Google Play account credentials, but as if your PC were a mobile device.
This emulator is more complete and allows more graphical changes to the system, in addition to other details that allow you to run several other games more fluidly. If you prefer to tinker with this type of details to improve Free Fire's performance or if your PC is more modest, this emulator achieves better performance.
LDPlayer is very customizable and you can change different graphics parameters to get the best FPS rate in many games, including Free Fire, among other really cool details. You can access the menu by pressing the icon highlighted in the image.
2. Baixe Free Fire Battlegrounds
You can download Free Fire by two methods in LDPlayer: using the LDStore (a kind of Play Store from the creators of LDPlayer) or the Google Play Store, as you would on a smartphone or tablet. The LDStore icon is right on the home screen.
Use the LDStore search by typing "Free Fire Battlegrounds". Click "Install", like any other Android application, and wait. The game takes up some space, but nothing unusual.
Log in to Free Fire Battlegrounds using the usual methods. If you still don't have an account, remember that the registration is mandatory and allows you to save your experience, number of kills, victories and other useful information.
3. Configure the controls
To be able to play Free Fire in the same way as a usual FPS, it is necessary to configure the LDPlayer controls. So, you can use your keyboard and mouse to move, aim, shoot, steer and get lots of HS. By clicking on the keyboard icon highlighted in the image, you will enter the command configuration menu. It's in the top right corner of your screen.
As this game was configured to be played on mobile or tablet, there are different areas of the screen for different commands. To play with keyboard and mouse, just map the screen area with the keys you prefer for each function. In the screenshot, you can see that each screen zone now has a mapped key. You can use any button and key to map functions.
Click on the Free Fire configuration menu and then on the LDPlayer configuration menu and place the keys where you like the most. It's a matter of personal preference. That way, you don't need to map keys during a match, which can be dangerous.
However, vehicle controls need to be added within the game itself when picking up a vehicle. You need to map the throttle, reverse and steering. Check first for enemies nearby so you don't get a nasty surprise.
Improve Emulator performance
In addition to the graphical system changes that you can make and are highly recommended, especially on older computers, it's good to turn on Virtualization. This means that your PC, when running the emulator, will use more resources, making the game run more smoothly. And more fluidity helps you get more wins.
To enable Virtualization on Windows, you need:
- When turning on the computer, press F2 or in some cases Delete;
- Access Settings/Configuration;
- When you find the Virtualization/Virtual Technology option, select "Enabled".
Once everything is set up, you are ready to face other players and try to win the match. Now, you're just going to need some luck and a lot of strategy. So, check out 10 tips to do well in Free Fire Battlegrounds and learn to recognize and use the best weapons in the game!
