even though Free Fire Battlegrounds being a game created to be played using the screen of mobile devices such as cell phones and tablets, there is a method to play using a controller/gamepad. Many gamers prefer this type of controller for games like Free Fire because of their familiarity with the controls.
Playing with control, in the opinion of some players, on the one hand allows greater control of your game and, on the other hand, increases your field of vision - after all, your fingers are no longer covering the sides of the screen.
Check out the method and find out if you prefer to use controller or if you will continue using the screen.
Note: this method is only possible on the operating system Android.
Control Type
First of all it is (obviously) necessary to have a controller/gamepad. There are Bluetooth models that even have a support for your cell phone.
But you can even use a wired gamepad by connecting your cell phone/tablet with an OTG adapter.
Install the Octopus (Dust) app
For your phone or tablet to recognize the controller/gamepad, you need to install the Octopus app. This app will allow your controller to be recognized. It will also remap the buttons to your preferences.
After installing it for the first time using APKPure, you can open Octopus like any other app.
In the Octopus home menu, you will see the games installed on your device that are compatible. To be able to play with the controller, you will have to start always the game from Octopus.
The app lets you remap some of the keys using simple controls. You can use controller/gamepad or even keyboard and mouse. Of course, if your gamepad is Bluetooth don't forget to turn it on.
If you find this too complicated and your phone doesn't run Free Fire smoothly or if your battery doesn't last long, why not try playing Free Fire on your PC?
