How to get a Cow Plant?
There are 5 ways to get a Cow Plant in The Sims 4:
- fishing;
- through grafts;
- Digging;
- exploring space;
- with cheats (of course).
There's not much to say about digging and exploring space. Whenever you dig for treasure or do space missions in your rocket, there's a chance you'll get a berry of Cow Plant. It's random and there's nothing you can do to increase the odds.
Fishing a Cow Plant
To fish a berry of Planta Vaca you need to travel to the Desert Flower Park in Oasis Springs and walk to the small cave with a lake, just north of the map.
When you get there, start fishing. The time it will take you to get the berry depends on your Fishing skill level.
If you want, you can use the code âstats.set_skill_level Major_Fishing 10â to increase your Fishing level to the maximum.

Getting a Cow Plant through Grafts
Your Sim learns grafting techniques upon reaching Gardening level 7. When unlocking the skill, perform the following combinations:
- Strawberry + Dragon's Mouth = Pitaia;
- Pitaia + Dragon's Mouth = Cow Plant Bago.
Strawberries can be found in the picnic area in Oasis Springs, next to the Worn Mesquite lot and dragon mouths can be found in the garden at Willow Creek, next to the Resentful Solar lot.
If you want, you can use the code âstats.set_skill_level Major_Gardening 10â to increase your Gardening level to the max.
Cheat to get the Cow Plant
Obviously, you can just ignore everything you read here and just use a cheat to get the Cow Plant. To do this, open the console and type âtestingcheats trueâ and then activate debug mode by typing the code âbb.showhiddenobjectsâ. This way you will have access to all the items in the game. Just type âPlanta Vacaâ in the search and thatâs it.

How to grow Cow Plant
The Cow Plant should be planted like any other plant in the game and it only takes a few days to fully mature. It can be planted at any level of Gardening, but depending on your skill, you can fertilize, talk, water, etc.
When the Cow Plant fully matures, you unlock all the interactions it offers: Feeding, Playing, Stroking, Eating Cake, Milking, and Collecting Sample.
Feeding Cow Plant
Many players get confused when feeding the Cow Plant and end up being swallowed by it. Pay attention: you will not be able to feed the Cow Plant until it is hungry. When that happens, she will try to lure Sims with a piece of cake. This is the indication that you need to feed her.
If you choose to eat the cake, the Cow Plant will swallow your Sim. At this point, two things can happen:
- the Cow Plant vomits your Sim and generates a potion based on the emotion they were in when they were swallowed;
- the Cow Plant swallows your Sim and generates an Essence of Life, capable of making any Sim instantly happy, as well as adding days to life.
To get the potions or the Essence of Life, simply choose the Milking action.
If the Cow Plant is not fed within 12 hours of showing the cake, it dies leaving a skeleton in its place.

- You can have as many Cow Plants as you like.
- If you put music nearby, the Cow Plant starts dancing.
- Be careful when the Cow Plant is hungry as hungry Sims can be attracted to the piece of cake and be swallowed;
- Child Sims can only choose the Play with the Cow Plant interaction;
