Free Fire: know all the weapons and know which are the best!

To survive in Free Fire Battlegrounds it is necessary to use the weapons you pick up well. As your backpack space is limited, you need to know how to choose among the best weapons you can find and know the best way to use them.

Shooting distances can be long, medium and short. Some weapons you will find on maps can be used in different roles. Others, just the right distance. Knowing how to choose the right weapon can guarantee your victory. Check the list and find out what type of weaponry is available.

We use a scale of 1 to 10 to rank each of the weapons. This value takes into account the type of weapon, the damage it causes, the recoil and the amount of accessories that can be applied.

In the tables we use data provided by Garena, the creators of Free Fire. Bear in mind that these values are without any extras. You can always check each weapon in the training zone within Free Fire itself, instead of getting nervous with our tables.

Sniper Rifles (Sniper)

Sniper Rifles are weapons used to shoot at long distances and typically use telescopic sights as vision aids. They are absolutely lethal in the right hands, dealing extreme damage or immediate death.

M82B 90 85 90 27 8 AWM Blue Zone in Classic

AC80

This semi-automatic sniper weapon is a nice addition to the arsenal. It seems to have a more consistent shot than the M21 Carpin or the M14, even without accessories. It seems to be useful for penetrating armor and helmets and it is possible to add some extras.

Grade: 8

M21 Carpin

The M21 is a weapon inspired by the M14, but improved for sniper/DMR shots with more range, damage and accuracy. While it lacks some of the bolt-action snipers' raw damage, it makes up for it with its faster rate of fire and the use of extras. A balanced weapon.

Grade: 7

M82B

When the creators of Free Fire announced that the M82B would be released, we predicted it would be a perfect sniper rifle for breaking through vehicles and ice walls and less effective against players despite its high armor penetration. For now, 3 shots to break ice seems like too many shots, for a huge rifle famous in many other games. The relatively large magazine is a nice addition, but it doesn't dethrone AWM as the most effective sniper,

Grade: 8

SKS

Semi-automatic sniper weapon with a capacity of 10 shots. It does a lot of damage and comes from scratch with a 4X telescopic sight. unfortunately it is little need for your recoil high, but can be improved if you get the right accessories. The SKS can take front grip and toe (improves recoil), as well as a higher capacity magazine.

Grade: 7

AWM

Bolt-action Sniper Gun, which means you have to take your eyes off the scope after every shot. It has a 5-shot magazine and a standard telescopic sight. It's one of the weapons more potent of Free Fire, achieving lethal shots from a long distance. Unfortunately, AWM can only be picked up in crates and it uses its own ammo.

Grade: 9

VSS

Semi-automatic, the VSS can place many shots on target quickly and accurately. It is difficult to detect her shot, as she has a built-in silencer and also a 2X original scope. It is versatile in long and medium distance. It doesn't do much damage, but it makes up for it with its low recoil and high rate of fire thanks to its 15-round magazine.

Grade: 8

kar98k

Pre-equipped with an 8X scope, the Kar98 is a very powerful and efficient sniper rifle. However, it is not ideal for novice players and has a magazine of only 5 ammo. The only extra that is possible to use in this weapon is the pointer.

Grade: 7

Dragunov

A very powerful weapon and pre-equipped with a 4X scope, the Dragunov can deliver very consistent shots at great distances. Allows you to attach all kinds of extras, improving the rifle even more. It's slightly less accurate than the AWM, but it makes up for it with its rate of fire: it's semi-automatic, which allows you to keep your eyes on the scope while shooting. Unfortunately, Dragunov is only available in Drop, resupply point or using token.

Grade: 7

CG15

Futuristic weapon, with two types of shot. The normal and the precision. Normal shooting is fine, despite the CG15 using SMG ammo. Precision shooting, using the scope, allows you to charge your kinetic energy bullet. Fully charged, the CG15's Precision Shot deals even more damage than the AWM. Unfortunately, CG15 didn't prove to be very useful in casual and ranked mode having been removed. Despite being a cool weapon for the beginning of the game, it is very limited in both SMG and Sniper modes. Currently, CG15 is limited to Contra Squad mode.

Slingshot (Kingfisher)

Inspired by the AR-10 weapon, a kind of grandfather of the M4, the Slingshot is a balanced weapon, with good accuracy, range and low recoil. You can use extras despite coming from scratch with good optics. Despite being balanced, it is a weapon that does not stand out for anything special. The magazine is short, for the type of weapon it is.

Grade: 7

ParaFAL

A good addition to the arsenal, the ParaFAL rifle is known all over the world and seems to be on the right path in Free Fire. The shot is powerful, does good damage and has good accuracy. The moving shot is less effective but the weapon is well balanced. The rate of fire is not very high, so leave the ParaFAL for long and mid-range combat.

Note:7

AUG

A well-known weapon from other games, in Free Fire the AUG is an average AR, with very poor accuracy but luckily with a good rate of fire and damage. An experienced player will get good shots as long as he has all the accessories available.

Grade: 6

AN94

We can call AN94 the little sister of AK. Good recoil and capable of very long shots, this powerful assault rifle is versatile and very accurate. Despite dealing less damage than the AK, the lower recoil on consecutive shots allows for greater control, getting more shots on target. The rate of fire is slow which does not make the weapon very suitable for close-range fights. Depending on your playstyle, you will either hate or love this weapon deeply.

Grade: 8

M4A1

High rate of fire at long and medium range, but inaccurate due to recoil. Is weapon suitable for a player starting, as it is perfect for different scenarios. With the right extras, you can improve a lot, especially recoil control. It is possible to attach sights, magazine with more capacity, pointer and front grip.

Grade: 7

M14

The assault rifle that more damage cause in Free Fire. If you add a scope as an extra, it becomes a true high-impact semi-automatic sniper. It has a lot of recoil in auto fire, but using shot to shot is perfectly manageable, especially if you pick up a few extras. Its magazine is small, with only 15 shots, so don't waste ammo.

Grade: 7

SCAR

Stable, with little recoil and quite easy to handle. Is quite popular weapon, but not very accurate and not very powerful. Using a level 3 scope, grip and pointer, it is possible to get very consistent shots in the medium and even long range.

Grade: 8

AK

Very powerful weapon, capable of inflicting great damage with a good rate of fire. Unfortunately, all that power comes with a huge recoil. The AK is not a weapon for beginners, but well mastered it is a real nightmare for your enemies.

Grade: 7

FAMAS

A first weapon of Free Fire with shot of Burst. This mode is a short burst, of three shots in a row, which increases the weapon's damage. In addition, it is very stable and allows you to attach all kinds of extras, greatly improving its effectiveness.

Grade: 8

HUGE

One of the best weapons in the game, as it combines great firepower and precision over long distances. It is very rare, existing only in drop, treasure map and token. The rate of fire is the same as AK but its handling is much better.

Grade: 10

XM8

Originally equipped with a mira de 2X, the XM8 causes greater damage than the M4 and Scar, with less recoil. Allows use of all extras except crosshairs. It's a great mid-range weapon but needs some training to master long shots.

Grade: 8

Submachine guns

Short weapons with a high rate of fire. Especially suitable for combating short distances, as they are able to fill opponents with lead in a few seconds. As they have a short barrel, they are not very effective at long distances.

Mac 10

Another day, another SMG. The Mac 10 seems to be a good option for those who like close combat or simply appreciate a silent weapon with a good rate of fire. Base damage feels like a middle ground between an SMG and a pistol.

Grade: 7

Uzi

An SMG that takes the place of a pistol is always useful in the first moments of the game. The rate of fire is very high and the damage is not bad at close ranges. No extras allowed.

Grade: 8

Vector

Vector was a good recovery for the Free Fire arsenal. The weapon has good damage, good rate of fire and allows for fast movement. What's more, it's an Akimbo weapon, allowing you to use two weapons at the same time, one in each hand: double damage. Unfortunately, medium and long range shooting is weak but no one will use a Vector as a sniper. Keep it for short distances and spread terror across the playing field.

Grade: 9

Thompson

The Thompson is the middle ground between the extreme cadence of the MP40 and the massive magazine of the P90 with the advantage of being the submachine gun that does the most damage, at least in theory. Accuracy looks poor, but who needs close-range accuracy? Seems like a pretty solid choice.

Grade: 7

P90

A stable and accurate submachine gun, with a huge magazine of 50 ammo (no extras) the P90 doesn't have the rate of fire of the MP40 but it does the same damage, at greater distance. In addition, it can take optical sights and larger magazines. It's a balanced weapon, for a player who prefers tactics to aggression.

Grade: 6

MP5

Very accurate and with an insane rate of fire, the classic MP5 is ideal for medium and short distance, especially inside buildings. However, it doesn't do much damage to enemies with level 3 vests and is ineffective on long-range shots. Recoil is virtually non-existent, even without extras.

Grade: 5

UMP

With a faster rate of fire than the MP5, the UMP is a great weapon for beginner players. It's accurate, well balanced and better over longer distances. It has more recoil, but can be improved using grip, pointer and stock.

Grade: 6

MP40

A classic weapon, with a great rate of fire and lots of stable. Its short barrel does not make it very useful over long distances but in tight places like houses or warehouses it is effective. Within this style of weapon, it is practically unbeatable.

Grade: 9

Learn how to customize the best aim so you don't miss shots!

Shotguns are weapons for players with an aggressive playstyle, who prefer weapons with high damage and low fire rate. They are perfect for short distances, quite common and effective.

Extra load

A futuristic shotgun that needs to load a shot before firing, just like a Quake rail gun. This increases the damage of each shot, but can cause the weapon to overheat, turning the spell against the sorcerer. It doesn't seem to replace the usual shotguns, but let's wait for player feedback.

Grade: 7

MAG 7

The MAG 7 is a shotgun with a very high rate of fire. But that is its only attraction. If you get one at the beginning of the game, cool. If your game type uses shotguns, you won't notice much difference between MAG 7 and SPAS. They look like a clone of each other.

Grade: 7

M1887

A two-shot shotgun is something that won't take many players to risk outside of the early stages of the game. But despite this disadvantage, the damage pays off. If the player can get used to the reload time and keep moving, the "new twelve" as it's dubbed is a pretty effective weapon.

Grade: 8

M1014

A supportive shotgun very accurate and capable of dealing maximum damage with just one shot on an unprotected enemy. It only takes 5 rounds and there are no extras to increase your magazine. The recoil is massive, but as it's semi-automatic, it doesn't really influence your fire.

Grade: 6

M1873

A high-damage weapon, this short-barreled shotgun only takes two rounds per magazine. Deals maximum damage at close range. It is the ideal weapon to give your enemies headaches indoors or in other tight places. However, in long-range fire exchanges, it is practically useless. Can be used as a short weapon instead of a pistol.

Grade: 6

SPAS12

A shotgun with a very menacing look, the SPAS12 does a lot of damage at close and even medium range. Unlike the M1014, it is possible to attach a magazine with more capacity, making the weapon more durable in a longer exchange of fire.

Treatment Sniper

Technically, this space weapon-looking rifle heals your allies and takes health to your enemies. It has a tense shot, very fun to shoot. Does not use ammunition, running on battery: the full charge allows 10 shots in a row. Far away in the training zone deals 70 damage. Only time will tell if it's a good addition to the game's arsenal but so far, it looks cool.

Grade: 7

PROCEDURE

An addition that will benefit players who enjoy playing as Squad support, this heavy-looking light machine gun doesn't impress much, apart from probably its looks. Its biggest advantage is in machine gun mode (crouching or lying down), getting very consistent bursts of three shots, at a good distance. We look forward to seeing your place in the meta.

Grade: 6

RGS50

If you hate Zé Carrinho, this is your weapon. Designed to eliminate vehicles, this anti-material rifle also deals a lot of damage to human targets at great distance and with near-perfect accuracy. Unfortunately, it's very rare.

Grade: 9

Hand Cannon

A very useful weapon, the hand cannon takes the place of the pistol, but thousands of times more useful. Basically it's exactly like an M79 launcher but in a small size, with slightly less range. If you catch one, don't let go. The easiest way to get one is to jump into the blue zone, if you dare to do so.

Grade: 9

Plasma Weapon

A weapon that does not need ammo, but takes time to reload when used to its limit. The recoil is low, does good damage and has a good rate of fire. Unfortunately, there is no official data on the table, but we can say that it is a good addition to the arsenal, as long as the player is disciplined when shooting. The use of extras, the aim in particular, greatly increases the effectiveness of the weapon.

Grade: 7

Machine gun

If you've always wanted to shoot a gun that normally comes in a helicopter, this is your chance. Despite the great capacity of the magazine and the good damage it does, this weapon is limited to the "Shooting and Popping" mode. Additionally, the player cannot run or jump while wielding this colossus. But it's really fun to use.

Grade: 7

Treatment Weapon

A curious weapon that allows you to heal your teammates and damage your enemies. Unfortunately, its range is short and the charger is quite limited. It is also not possible to use extras.

Grade: 6

MGL140

A repeater grenade launcher with a magazine for 5 grenades. If the M79 already infuriates many players, this repeating grenade launcher becomes a true storm of fire and fury. Be careful if your finger is heavy, it's pretty easy to run out of ammo. The only extra is the charger.

Grade: 9

M249

One of the best Free Fire weapons. Keep your enemies pinned to the ground with an endless wave of lead. This powerful weapon can fire at long distances and, despite being fully automatic, has little recoil. The 100 round magazine takes a long time to change. It is very rare, being only available as a drop.

Grade: 9

M79

Got a camper shooting hidden? Or someone in the open? Use the M79 to give them a nice gift. Nothing like 40mm of explosive to help you climb the ladder. The M79 only takes one ammo at a time and only allows for a faster magazine as an extra.

Grade: 8

Crossbow ( Novo Buff)

After the 16/09/2022 update this weapon occupies the secondary weapon slot, i.e. the pistol and is loaded with explosive arrows. That, read it right. This completely modifies the use of the crossbow, making it a very useful weapon, as in addition to being silent, it can detonate hidden enemies, ice walls, vehicles, etc. A perfect change.

Grade: 9

M60

A machine gun with nice damage, good range and accuracy, despite a slightly high recoil. It's a great weapon to play in squad mode to cover your team thanks to its large magazine. The rate of fire is slow, but still try to use short bursts of 3-5 shots to maximize the effect. The only extra you can take is a scope.

Grade: 7

In those early stages of the game, picking up this pistol can give you an advantage, especially if your enemies pick up something weaker. Other than that, it's a pistol, with the typical pistol limitations. Outside of CS, it doesn't seem to be very effective.

Grade: 5

USP-2

In short, it's the Akimbo version of USP. More bullet in the air, more damage, but more reload time. A waste of time outside the opening moments of the match.

Grade: 5

Desert Eagle

Pistol capable of dealing short to medium range damage. It only has 7 rounds per magazine and a massive recoil, but it's the Most Powerful Free Fire Pistol. At this time, it is only available in Contra Squad mode.

Grade: 8

G18

A modest pistol with a high rate of fire. It makes up for its low power with more ammo in the magazine. It appears all over the map, being very easy to pick up.

Grade: 4

USP

A good weapon for first stages of the game. It has a 12-round magazine and is slightly more accurate than the G18.

Grade: 4

M500

The M500 is the only Free Fire pistol with original optical sight. This allows you to fire shots with long range accuracy, causando enough damage. You can still use silencer and pointer, making this weapon even more effective. The main disadvantage is its reduced charger. Just 5 bullets are not enough for a long firefight.

Extra accessories can greatly improve your weaponry. You can get more ammo per magazine, improve your aim and lower your recoil, making the weapon more manageable. Whenever you find extras of higher levels, immediately exchange them for the current ones. Extras can be:

  • tip: Decreases recoil, dispersing outgassing.
  • butt or grip: Decreases recoil, stabilizing the weapon.
  • Charger: Increases the amount of ammo per magazine.
  • View: Facilitates aiming, by enlarging the target.
  • Muffler: suppresses the noise of gunshots, making them harder to detect
  • Bipé ( bipod): Decreases recoil and improves accuracy if shooting crouched ou lying

Land Mine

Free Fire's only trap is a powerful explosive that can be placed on the ground in any location. Use the mine to deny entry or surprise an enemy. Unfortunately the mine takes a while to detonate even after being stepped on, but it does a lot of damage. It is especially effective in areas with a lot of foliage or is easily detected.

Thermal sight

Thermal sights allow the player to identify an enemy by body heat, identifying them with a yellowish hue, even if they are hidden or protected. It's not very effective.

Light Grenade

Light Grenade Free Fire

The light grenade is used to blind your enemies for a few seconds. Use those seconds well, either eliminating him right away or moving to another location. Careful to use, don't let the spell turn against the sorcerer.

Pomegranate

The only explosive available in Free Fire. Use it to clear buildings with enemies inside or for other surprises. Be careful when throwing the grenade, avoid walls, ceilings or other obstacles or you run the risk of the explosive falling back.

Gelo Grenade

They're shooting at you and you don't have cover? Use the ice grenade and create a very solid wall wherever you want. It's true, Fortnite style. That way you'll be able to survive enemy shots.

Best Equipment Kit

In Battle Royale-style games like Free Fire, all players start the game without any equipment. To win the game, it is necessary to find weapons, protections, supplies and ammunition. Effective equipment would be a long- and medium-range weapon, equipped with a telescopic sight, a submachine gun or shotgun, and a pistol as a weapon of last resort. Also, a vest, helmet and backpack would be of great help.
