Nintendo presented at E3 2022 all about its new game for the Switch console, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and surprised fans with the confirmation that all characters from previous games in the franchise will return!

The return of old friends
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - Everyone is Here Trailer (E3 2022)In addition to the characters we already know, Nintendo will include three new characters: Inkling, from Splatoon, Princess Daisy, from Super Mario and Ridley, from Metroid. All 67 repeating characters will receive modifications, some just cosmetic and others related to fighting mechanics.
