Free Fire is a Battle Royale that despite having a simple objective, to survive, you need to practice a lot. There are a lot of weapons to handle, maps to know, best places to loot and many other details.

1. Combine characters
At this stage of the game, it is very rare to see someone playing without a special character in ranked mode. the characters have skills very different specials, which can be more or less useful for your playstyle. If you have three or more characters, you can even combine their abilities.
For example, more aggressive players prefer Andrew combined with Paloma and Miguel (stronger bullet vest with unlimited ability to carry AR ammo, gaining EP with each kill), while more strategic players prefer Ford combined with Kelly (less gas damage with more velocity). 2. get ready
In Free Fire, your character can carry some items even before jumping. They are divided into basic loadout items and survival items. Do not enter any match without equipping these small perks.
Survival Items
- Bonfire: Light the bonfire in a safe place and regenerate your health bar.
- Summon Airdrop: Summon an airdrop full of gear in a zone of your choosing.
- Treasure Map: use it on the plane, travel to the marked location and get the equipment.
Basic Loading Items
- Leg bag: the most common item. Increase your carrying capacity.
- Armor Box: Jump now with a random vest.
- Supply Crate: Jump in now with a medkit or some random ammo.
- Scanner: Know how many enemies are on the planes and detect their position during the jump.
3. Jump in the right place
This is a tip repeated in any beginner's guide in every Battle Royale style game. Even so, many players continue to fall in the same places, game after game. At this point, you should already know the maps at least and know which are the best places to loot with some security or the best places to get kills quickly.
If your goal is to make it to the final circles, think long term. What's the point of looting safely when you can't escape the gas cloud in time? Or even, what does it matter to get 15 kills on Milll and lose to a sniper that was in ambush? Hop in a semi-isolated location, with good loot and good escape routes, preferably with a vehicle nearby. Being consistent is the best way to upgrade your rank.

4. Know your weaponry and aim
The weaponry and other loot you find depends a bit on luck and where you decide to jump. That's why a good Free Fire player needs to know how to play with every weapon he finds, at least until he gets a better one. Remember that you can carry three firearms. Try to have one for the long and medium distance and one for the short distance. Pistol is not essential, but in an emergency anything goes.
Throughout your playing career, you will find weapon combinations that you like more than others, depending on your skill and play style. Some players love to combine good AR with shotguns, others prefer snipers with submachine guns. Many players love the AK for the damage it does despite its recoil, while others prefer the MP40's rate of fire. Whatever you do, don't try to copy other players and search for yourself.

5. Take it easy with Loot
Without loot it is not possible to win a Free Fire match. However, there are many players who, even already equipped with a vest, helmet, backpack and good weaponry, continue to loot all the houses they find and all the boxes of killed enemies. If it's safe, try. If you have to put yourself in danger to get another silencer and AR loader, is it worth it?

6. Use vehicles well
If you like to hop in a secluded spot, it's best to quickly grab a vehicle. In addition to making your movement across maps faster, you can also use the vehicle to get to the most advantageous locations quickly or run over less cautious enemies.
Towards the end of the game, when the circles get smaller, a vehicle, even the mighty monster truck, can become a drag. The player is more visible and easier to detect by the noise and still vulnerable to enemy shots. It's not a rule without exceptions, but when in doubt, drop your car or motorcycle and fight on your feet.
7. The mini map is one of the best weapons
Super ignored, the mini map is one of the most useful tools in Free Fire. In addition to placing you on the playing field, it identifies an enemy's position whenever they fire, warns you of approaching vehicles, indicates the position of drone and bombardments, and notifies you of the circle and gas. Use and abuse the mini map to get to the right places faster and avoid all these dangers.
8. Make good use of the gas zone
It is important to be able to predict where the gas zone will move. That way, you'll be able to plan your movements more effectively. At the beginning of the game, when the circle is the biggest and takes the longest to shorten, you have some freedom of movement and the gas doesn't take that much life. In the final circles, however, always try to get to the circle quickly to get the spot with the most advantage. Observe the terrain and try to find a sheltered spot with a good escape route if necessary.

Free Fire dwellings are the best places to ambush and stay protected, especially during the final rounds of the match. Vegetation is very rare in Free Fire and, apart from some trees and rocks, there is no great chance of hiding outside. Therefore, your best chance is always the houses and, if possible, the upper floors of them.
To enter a house, it is essential to be careful with the blind spots in each room. Remember that in Free Fire there are no doors to open, so always try to use the side view before entering. If you can, use windows or another original way to enter. If you have grenades galore and are in doubt, toss one to the spot and then head inside. Every building has blind spots where it's relatively easy to ambush. The top of the stairs is a good, if predictable, example.
10. There is always someone there
Never assume you are alone. A hidden camper kills in the same way as an expert rusher. Always move quickly between hiding places and obstacles, use the angles to observe the interior of the houses and do not expose yourself. Always assume the worst, in all situations.
Likewise, don't start gunfights you can't end. If you attack, attack to eliminate your enemy quickly and as aggressively as possible. If you are consistent in your movements and the way you shoot, you will always catch your enemies in advantageous situations and you will get one more kill, one more victory, one more rank.
